Minooteeni "Village" Park

Minooteeni Park honors Native Americans that lived in our area before us. In consultation with the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma and the Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma, the name “minooteeni”, which means “village” in the Myaamia language, was selected.  Minooteeni Park features native plants and trees, a stream, a nature-based playground, and educational signage about the Native Americans who lived in the area, and a stream.
