Francis Vigo

A ten-ton statue of Francis Vigo stands on the banks of the Wabash River, adjoining the George Rogers Clark National Historical Park. A French fur-trader, Vigo’s wise counsel and material aid enabled Clark to capture British Fort Sackville here on Feb. 25, 1779.
